Just Me

Hi, I’m Amanda — the heart and hands behind Sew Slow. My sewing journey began in 2023 when I received a sewing machine for Christmas and dove headfirst into learning the craft through YouTube tutorials. What started as a curiosity quickly became a passion.

Fashion has always been in my blood. My grandfather owned Christopher’s Menswear when I was little, and I like to think I inherited his love for style and craftsmanship. Today, I channel that legacy into creating unique pieces that celebrate sustainability and creativity.

I’m a proud thrifter and believe deeply in the power of secondhand and upcycled fashion. Most of the textiles I work with are thrifted — giving new life to old fabrics and helping reduce waste one stitch at a time.

Sewing has become a space for me to learn, grow, and challenge myself. I’m constantly exploring new techniques and ideas, and I’m so excited to share this journey with you.
